Don’t be fooled by Real Estate Gurus promoting “Get Rich Quick” programs
I was just recently consulted by some client/friends of mine who were roped in by a group who promote a nationally televised show about flipping homes. They almost handed them $8000.00 in tuition fees. Fortunately they were able to get their money back. While buying and selling real estate in a down market seems like a great thing to do right now; Now more than ever you have to be extra cautious on who you can trust or take advice from. Do your homework on the teachers before spending one dime on them. There are plenty of good books out there that cost under $20.00 that have more than enough information to get you started. Also, consulting with an experienced real estate professional wouldn’t hurt either. By the way, that group who have that show referenced above are currently under investigation for fraud! Buyers beware! Check out http://flippersintrouble.blogspot.com/2008/07/placer-part-1_26.html
if you think flipping is easy.
